Clock mechanism by John Baddeley (1727-1804)

The most famous of Tong clockmakers was John Baddeley (1727-1804) who made the mechanism for the Tong church clock. He was the son of a Tong blacksmith but moved to Albrighton. The mechanism was in operation until 1984.
